Big Snow Storm - Had to close early

Today the weather forecasters were right on target and we got nailed with a good 10 inches of the white stuff. I didn't want to close, but common sense kicked in, and I did close at 2:00. I did have a few hearty souls who after they got their groceries, came in to get several books to get them through this storm and the one they will be expecting this Sunday. Who cares if it snows when you can be reading something set in maybe Florida or sunny California, maybe Texas, like Susan Wittig Albert with her mysteries. Ah, a little herb shop with lots of interesting characters to pass the hours until you have to step back into reality and put on those snow boots and gloves, and go scrape off your car. Back to work. By the way, I have been busy making scarves for all you people who need to be out in the cold. Come in and see our selection.

Let it Snow

I hope everyone who got their Christmas story books at Annies is enjoying them during the seasons first snow storm. We still have lots more holiday books, and I am sure we will have lots more days to sit in, and curl up with a good book.

books who can have enough?

I will be starting my 3rd year of owning Annies Book Stop in Waltham come January. But I have worked there for 12 years. It is an exciting adventure to own your own business, and I have tried to provide some interesting new things for my customers. We offer grouped trilogies for your convenience, and for the month of December they are now gift wrapped with ribbon, so you can buy a group for you or for a gift. And I have tried to provide inexpensive gifts for Christmas, and other holidays, ornaments, small gift items. Our book covers and book marks are year round. Please stop by. 85 River Street, Waltham Mass. 781 899 4384
