Just in Case

Just in case you were wondering when I was going to say something else on the blogspot...well, I thought I would add something today. Sorry, i have been using the Website for Annies for my blogging. I get the strangest requests for books some days. They will call on the phone and ask for some title, and I go looking for it to see if maybe we have it, and as I am searching, they are telling me that it has been out of print for 30 years! Whatt??!! Once in a while, we might have something like that, if its a classic or something, but seriously...we are just a small store, not a warehouse. Those people should come and visit us and see what a great store it is.

On the Move

I am doing some rearranging in the store to make room for a new book case which will be housing the trade size books, which are increasingly popular. So the next time you drop in, if your genre is not where it used to be, please ask any one of us to help you locate it.

Thanks to one thoughtful customer who reads true crime, we now have our true crime section fully stocked again. We only ask that you return your books to us when you are done reading them. Recycle, recycle, recycle. But recycle in our store in Waltham...thanks

Who Has Books?

Hi. I haven't blogged for a while now. I have been busy updating our new website at www.Anniesbookswaltham.com . Please visit us there as well. The summer is almost over, certainly the days at the beach reading a great romance or thriller sitting in the sun. But you can still sit in a park, still warm days to enjoy the sun and a great read. In New England you have to take em where you can get em.
So many of the great stories you have read are being turned into movies, and so many of my customers have noticed that the book is always so much better than the movie. there is a reason for that. There is so much more that can be told in a book than they could ever produce on the big screen, details, insight, characters thoughts etc. the movie-goers think that they got the whole story....and they are so wrong. If you saw a movie that you liked, why not come in and find the book and get the whole story. You will be surprised.
